Iconic Picture Analysis

The picture I chose displays many characterisitcs that define Grace Kelly. The picture has no color, but yet all her features are accented in a way that still shows her classic beauty. The pose is more modelesque, but her attire portrays the look of an actress. Considering Grace was both, this fits perfectly. Another symbol of her classic beauty and gracefulness is her pearl necklace. Her expression looks deep in thought almost as if she is ready to take on the next thing coming at her.

1. Born on November 12, 1929 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
2. Nicknames were Graciebird and Gracie
3. Right after High School she went to New York and modeled until she made her Broadway debut in 1949.
4. In 1953 she appeared in the film Mogambo which was known as the best film released by MGM.
5. She worked with famous names such as Bing Crosby, Alfred Hitchcock, and Frank Sinatra.
6. Her role in the 1954 movie entitled The Country Girl won her an Academy Award for best Actress.
7. Her final acting performance took place in 1956 with the musical High SOciety starring Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby.
8. Grace gave up her career when she met and married Prince Rainier of Monaco.
9. Even though she gave up her acting career she still had new coverage due to her new title of Princess.
10. She had three children.
11. On Septmeber 14, 1982 she died in a car accident and was only 52 years old.
